At 530 meters, the CTF Guangzhou is the tallest skyscraper in the city of Guangzhou. Joining an already impressive skyline, it forms an urban triumvirate with its fellow commanding neighbors: the 440-meter International Finance Center and the 600-meter Canton Tower. Featuring a carefully selected series of subtle terra cotta mullions lining the tower’s elevations, it gives homage to the material that played an important in both Eastern and Western history, as well as being environmentally-friendly. It is sculpted at four major transition points: office to residential, residential to hotel, hotel to crown, crown to sky. With ALT working as facade consultant, this beautifully executed building is touted a success and another icon in the Guangzhou skyline.
