One of two major convention centers in Hong Kong, the HKCEC (Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre) in Wan Chai is built along the Victoria Harbour and is surrounded by the water on three sides. Designed by SOM with ALT working as the façade consultant, HKCEC remains an important landmark in the city of Hong Kong and has hosted numerous major events over the decades. Its most notable feature is its distinctive roof that creates a wing-like form and makes for an iconic image along the harbour. It features a broad range of facilities such as exhibition halls, theaters, meeting rooms, restaurants, and various support facilities.
